Indianapolis, IN – In honor of National Children’s Dental Health Month, the Dr. Lynna Scott and the “Tooth Fairies” of Scott Dentistry paid a special visit to Pre-Kindergardners and First Graders of Indianapolis Math & Science Academy on Friday, February 7, 2014. Scott Dentistry was excited to support the “Give Kids a Smile 2014” campaign that helps educate children on the importance of practicing good oral hygiene at the earliest age possible.
The one hour event began with Dr. Lynna Scott informing 130 attentive, pre kindergartners about the importance of brushing their teeth twice a day as well as how to effectively brush the teeth and other areas of the mouth. Scott Dentistry then presented and assisted the students with a fun, “colorful” activity, where each student was able to indicate food items that were good and bad for the teeth via a coloring exercise.
Overall, the Scott Dentistry staff and teachers were highly impressed that the students were knowledgeable about the importance of maintaining a healthy smile. The event was concluded by giving the students and teachers a special package that included the following: toothpaste, toothbrush, floss, fun stickers, Crest coupons, Scott Dentistry coupons and a Scott Dentistry brochure.
